FAB BAG September 2015 Review | MakeupwithKaur

Hey everyone, today I am sharing what all I got in my September FAB BAG.

FAB BAG is a subscription service which you can avail for one month (for Rs.699/- PM), three months (for Rs. 499/- PM), six months (for Rs. 449/-PM) or yearly (for Rs.399/- PM) The price of the bag are better on long term plans.

This month FAB BAG has completed three years. So this month it is anniversary special bag. The bag is shimmery and it is in dark maroon/plum color. I am not happy with the quality but it looks great.

Every month the FAB BAG includes A renewal offer card, A fab post and A customized card (which includes list of goodies). This month also they have provided all the three things.

This is what I have received in this month FAB BAG:

1) the balm Stainiac Lip and Cheek Stain (Full size Rs. 1200/-- for 8.5 gms)

This is the first time I am going to try something form "the balm" cosmetics. I have used the stain once and it looks very subtle. The size of the product is really small but the product can be judged by the given quantity.

2) Makeup revolution Focus & Fix liquid concealer - FC07 (Full Size: Rs. 550)

So happy to have this concealer and that too full size. This matches with my skin tone but i have not started using it so can not share my review on this right now.

3)Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose water (Full Size: Rs 250/- for 50ml)

Super excited to try this out. I love herbal product and this one was in my wishlist from a long time, thank you FAB BAG for this one!

4)Just Herbs Gotukola Indian Ginseng Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir. (Full Size: Rs. 985/- for 12ml)

I got the full size and I have started using it. But it is too early to share my view on it. This can be used alone or you can mix it with your favorite night cream.

5)SKINN by TITAn- Celeste for Women + Raw for Men ( Full size - Rs. 990 for 50ml)

I have received two sample. I am loving both of them but the women EDT sample was just mind blowing, loved it to the core.

Overall I am very happy with this month FAB BAG. It is value for money and this time the delivery was also very quick.

Coloréssence INTENSE LIQUID LIP COLOR (Antique Ruby, Rose Petal, Berry Pink) | Review, Swatches & Price

Hi guys!!

Today I will be reviewing newly launched "Intense liquid lip color" by coloréssence.

 

About the product:
Intense long lasting creamy lip color has a smooth texture and glides perfectly on the lips. It's highly pigmented formula gives long lasting matte coverage and the texture is weightless on the lips with no hint of stickiness.

 

How to use:
Use the wand to apply lip gloss starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to outer edges of your lips, following the contour of your mouth. Follow the same technique for your bottom lip.

 

Active Ingredients : Vitamin E, Dimethicone, Jojoba Oil, Almond oil.

 

Net weight: 8ml

My take on Coloréssence INTENSE LIQUID LIP COLOR:

 I got the "Coloréssence INTENSE LIQUID LIP COLOR" in three shades:

 



Rose Petal (LLC-6)



Berry pink ( LLC-2)

 



Antique Ruby (LLC - 3)

 

Packaging:
The outer cardboard displays all information about the product and detail information is at the back side of the cardboard.

 

The packaging is really cute and innovative, it is very light and it will be easy to carry in your hand bag or in your small clutch. It is rectangular in shape and has round edges in the corner, the packaging is see through and you can see the lip color from outside, the upper area including the cap of the product is in black color and has a matte finish. There is few detail on the back of the product as well and shade code is also mention there.The wand of the lip COLOR is simple and it is easy to work with it.

 

Talking about the product, the lip COLOR glides easily on the lips , texture is smooth and looks glossy while applying but turns out extremely matte after few minutes. One thing which I notice is that the color get more intense after drying. If you love matte lipsticks then you should definitely go for it. The staying power is 3-4 hours after that it starts to fades off. However it doesn't transfer easily but if you will eat something oily then it will go off from the center and you have to re-apply it. As the company says, it does feel weightless on your lips and does not feel sticky.
 

The smell of the Coloréssence INTENSE LIQUID LIP COLOR is nice, it smells like sweet mango candy! :-)

This is how the shade Rose Petal (LLC-6) looks on my lips, this is my favorite shade from all the three. It is a light pink color which is good for everyday purpose.



This is how Berry pink (LLC-2) looks on my lip. Such a gorgeous fushia color with a hint of Berry color in it. I think this color will compliment any skin tone.

This is the shade Antique Ruby (LLC-3), this is a very dark Ruby color. This color get more intense and dark after it dries up. This color reminds me of MAC rebel lipstick. This is going to be so perfect for fall season.

 

 Overall I felt that the lipsticks are really nice and affordable. I highly recommend this to all.

Today I will be reviewing Khadi herbal Face wash Neem & Tulsi. I am using this product from last two weeks and wanted to share my views on it. So let us first find out what the company has to say about the product:

My take on Khadi herbal face wash neem & tulsi :

 

 

Let us first talk about the packaging of "Khadi herbal face wash neem & tulsi ". The packaging is quite simple, very basic transparent bottle with black cap. You can see the face wash from the packaging, the green color of the face wash looks fresh and nice. However, it is not travel friendly because it is bulky and the black cap of the bottle is not so sturdy.

 

So as I have told you guys that I am using the product from last 2 weeks, my skin feels really clean and nice after using it. I don't have major pimples but I noticed that whatever small bumps were there actually disappeared. I have a oily skin and it cleanse the oil and dirt perfectly without leaving the skin dry.

 

The smell of the face wash is really strong, it has a strong smell of tulsi in it. So if you don't like such strong smell you can skip this product but I can bear it, so not an issue for me. Talking about the consistency of the face wash it is neither thick nor too runny.

 

 

This product has disappointed me in terms of its list of ingredients. I was shocked to see that this face wash contain SLS & Paraben in it however the company claims that they use natural & herbal ingredients. So if you have sensitive skin don't use this face wash, use a mild face wash which is chemical free.

 

 

PROS of  Khadi herbal face wash neem & tulsi:

• Fresh, glowing skin after use
• Removes dirt and oil
• Affordable
• Easily available (at khadi stores/ online/ reliance mart/ Pharmacies etc.)

CONS of Khadi herbal face wash neem & tulsi :

• Strong smell
• Contain SLS and paraben

You can try this product if you are non-allergic to chemicals!

So to start with I picked up the Grey shade for me because I have black eyebrows and this is the one which will suit me, if you have lighter eyebrows then you should go for the second option which is the brown shade. Swatches:

When I first heard that it is a grey shade then I was not sure whether it is going to suit me or not and I was thinking about buying the brown one for me, but after the Swatches at the Maybelline counter I was convinced that the Grey one is for me.

 

I really liked the product, its a life saver for a person like me, reason is that I don't thread or trim my eyebrows. The staying power of the product is also good, it was there even after 4 hours. This is how it looked on my eyebrows:

You can use the pencil side of the product to define the eyebrows and then the smudger is use to  apply and blend the product. The smudger can be use to blend the eye shadows as well!! Isn't that great??

Makeup Revolution London Vivid baked bronzer : Review & Swatches

Today I am going to do a review on a bronzer by Makeup Revolution, London.

My take on Makeup Revolution Vivid baked bronzer -

 

This is a really cute looking bronzer and the packaging is simple and see through all though I think it's easily breakable. The quantity is quite good.

 

The pigmentation of the product is great but the staying power is less. This is the first time I bought a bronzer, I wanted a matte bronzer and it is not matte so I am little disappointed.

 I went to my terrace to click the picture of this bronzer, so as to show you guys how it will look if you will wear it during day time.

 

 

 

This bronzer is more on the orangish side with little shimmer particles in it, it will look really odd if you will not blend it. So you have to blend it really nicely to get that sun-kissed bronzed look.

 

The skin looks glossy and illuminated after using the product which I like.

 

It will stay for a longer period if you will use it with a primer and foundation. I have applied Revlon colorstay whipped foundation on my hand before applying bronzer, here are the swipes:

 

 

Pros of Makeup Revolution Vivid baked bronzer:

•  Affordable compare to other bronzers available (after discount)
• Cute packaging
• Works as a blush and illuminator

Cons of Makeup Revolution Vivid baked bronzer:

• Shimmery, not good for daily use.

Will I repurchase it?

 No I will not, I wanted to try a matte bronzer, the bronzer by the Balm cosmetic is in my wish list. :0

DIY : Easy Lipstick/ Lip balm Holder

Hi girls!

 

So today's post is about a DIY. This DIY is related to makeup storage, I have lot of lip balms and keeping them at one place was not easy, so this cute idea came to my mind.

 

It is a very simple DIY, I have recycled all the things used in this DIY.

Things you will need :

Two small/big plates (as per your choice)

A Glass or a cup to use it is a pillar between these two plates

Glue

Pearls/ Beads (Optional)

 That is all you are going to need for this DIY, so let us begin now:

Put all the pearls into the glass

To stick the glass between the plates, add some glue in center of the plate as shown

Now glue the plate and glass together

Now glue the second plate on the head of the glass as shown

And we are done with this DIY and it turned out so pretty.

Coloréssence Lipstick : FUCHSIA  GLAME (40) Review & Swatches

Hi lovelies!!

 

So this is my first post, I really wanted to start my blog but somehow never got the time to post anything, so without wasting any time let me talk about one of my favorite lipsticks of all time.

 

This lipstick is by Coloréssence (mesmerising lip color range) and the shade I will be talking about is "FUCHSIA  GLAME"(40).

 

It is a really pretty deep fuchsia color and it will suit any skin tone. It goes really well with Indian outfits and make you look glamorous. I have been wearing this lipstick a lot.

Talking about the Coloréssence brand, it is an Indian cosmetic brand and I have been using there compact, blushers, lipsticks and nail paint and I have been loving them.

 

So this is how the shade & lipstick looks like:

 

 

 

 

 

These are some of the swatches, as you can see its a deep fuchsia color and the pigmentation is quite high.



As mentioned on the outer packaging of the lipstick it 

 is cruelty free, and all the ingredients are natural.

 

Now let us talk about the price & expiry of the product:
It is really affordable and almost three years of expiry, so a big thumbs up for this thing also.

 

So let us now talk about pros and cons:
